Knole Park Visit In Kent- UK deer Photos.

This week we decided to take advantage of the warm autumn weather and visit the well known Knole deer park in Kent. Out in nature is sure a fine way to spend your day, especially when you choose the right location. Knole Deer Park in Kent is one place to visit at this time of the year as it’s the fallow deer’s rutting season.

Our aim was to photograph the deer rutting ritual. Unfortunately it is only the start to the breeding season, so we did not see much action. The lighter-coloured fallow deer and the darker, shorter, stockier Japanese Sika deer, are in fine condition to photograph.

Early mornings and late evenings are best times to capture side light. Mist can add atmoshere especially when the bucks are blowing.

I’m sure the following weeks will be a great time to capture some fine deer images as the bucks fight for the right to breed before winter starts.
