Nature And Wildlife Photographs Taken Along The Blackwater Valley Berkshire UK.

Canada goose gosling

Summer is here with lots of new wildlife to photograph after all the April frolicking.
Along the Blackwater river there are baby swan cygnets, Canada geese goslings, mallard ducklings, coot and moorhen chicks to photograph, just to name a few. Of course there are also the old favourites such as the Grey heron, kingfisher, black headed gull, common tern and the crested grebe.
Some of the paddocks along the river are grazed by cattle which have just calved (very cute), so there is lots to see and photograph as you go out for your walk.

Cattle are calving and enjoying the green pasture

Take your time and don’t over look the smaller creatures that buzz past. There are lots of small birds, insects, flowers such as buttercups and “Forget me not’s” to interest you too. A good telephoto or macro camera lens would be a good choice to take along with your digital SLR camera.
